Brief Bio...
My name is Isaac Hess. I have been teaching young pitchers how to better their minds, mechanics, and health for over 6 years. I love to play and teach the game of baseball.
I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and I graduated from Shadow Mountain High School in 2003. I attended South Mountain CC, Washington State University, and finished my college education at the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in 2007. I am a 27 year old left hand pitcher going on my 7th season of playing professionally. I have played for 11 teams in eight different leagues spanning across five countries.
I love Arizona, I love to learn, and I love to teach. I find that sharing the knowledge and attitude I have gained from baseball with young players is very gratifying and I enjoy it. I love what I do and the work ethic I execute for myself and those that I instruct makes me confident in my abilities. At Isaac Hess Baseball we are relentless in bettering ourselves in all we do, there is no half speed.
Deeper...
Baseball is an important part of who I am. At the age of 19 I received a total hip replacement. I am proud to say that other than Bo Jackson, I am the only person in the history of the game to play with a total hip replacement. I have given everything I know possible to get back on the field and continue playing this game. I believe that I continue to gain momentum because of the things I have learned from it's presence in my life. The dedication and ruthlessness to succeed that I have acquired over the years in order to remain playing grows every year. I believe that my attitude, above all else, is the strongest aspect of my game. I take pride in providing more than just baseball instruction to my athletes, I attempt to provide perspective about what it takes to pursue a life of baseball. Nothing makes me work harder for a player than the player showing me that he or she genuinely cares about achieving the level of success that they desire. Its an EVEryday state of mind...
